Dr Sreeram Prasad is the head of the department of Neurology at Lourdes Hospital, Cochin. He is one among the few qualified movement disorders specialist in the country. He established the Comprehensive care center for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders at Lourdes Hospital, Cochin, the first of its kind in Central Kerala. He is the first movement disorders specialist in the country to do a Movement Disorders Surgical Fellowship, exclusively dedicated to Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). He runs a very successful DBS program at the DBS center at Lourdes Hospital, Cochin.
Dr Sreeram Prasad has done his MBBS and Post-graduation in General Medicine from Government Medical College, Trivandrum. He did his DM in Neurology from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute, Lucknow. He has passed DNB in Neurology and secured MNAMS in Neurology. He has done Movement Disorders Fellowship from the prestigious Sree Chitra Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum.he did his Movement Disorders Surgical Fellowship from University of Toronto, one among the best Medical Universities in the world. He has also worked in the Neurology Departments of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Cochin and National Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore.
